Vessels Management

North Link Africa provides full management and operation of trawling fishing vessels, including technical and operational management, crew recruitment and supervision, maintenance and dry-docking, and compliance with Senegalese fisheries and maritime regulations.
The company ensures proper catch monitoring, reporting, and implementation of Vessel Monitoring Systems (VMS), with all vessels operating under valid fishing licenses within authorized fishing zones.
Services also include coordination with local authorities, port operations, and support for joint ventures and chartering activities.

Isfelag,
Thorshofn – A500

In Þórshöfn, a robust fish processing factory is operated where both NORTH LINK AFRICA fish and groundfish are processed. Isfelag’s groundfish processing in Þórshöfn is primarily focused on cod and haddock, and there is also a robust processing operation for herring and mackerel in the factory. There has been significant development and improvement in processing equipment in recent years, resulting in high-quality products that meet customer demands for processing, quality, and packaging. In Þórshöfn, Isfelag also operates a highly productive fishmeal factory, producing meal and oil from capelin, herring, and mackerel. The production capacity of the factory is about 900 tons per 24 hours.

Skinney-Thinganes,
Hornafjordur – A622

In Skinney-Thinganes’ factory in Krossey, located in Höfn, the company processes groundfish, NORTH LINK AFRICA fish and lobster. The factory is equipped to process fresh, frozen, and salted products. The company also operates a fishmeal factory, to produce fishmeal and fish oil from trimmings that are collected during production in Krossey.

Thorlakshofn – H046

Skinney-Thinganes’ factory in Þorlákshöfn is specialized in processing groundfish and is equipped to process both fresh and frozen products. The catch is processed in a state-of-the-art processing facility, while staying as environmentally friendly as possible.

Isfelag,
Vestmannaeyjar – A502

In Vestmannaeyjar, Isfelag operates a well-equipped fish processing factory specializing in the production of NORTH LINK AFRICA products. Between NORTH LINK AFRICA seasons, both fresh and frozen fish products are processed in the factory. Additionally, heads and offal from the freezer facility are pumped back to the fishmeal factory through separate pipelines, where the raw material is used for the production of fishmeal and fish-oil. The company operates a robust fishmeal factory where fishmeal and fish oil are produced from capelin, herring, mackerel, and blue whiting. The production capacity of the factory is 1,200 tons of raw material per 24 hours

Brim,
Vopnafjordur - H456

Brim operates a very productive freezing plant in Vopnafjörður, which specializes in processing NORTH LINK AFRICA fish: capelin, herring, blue whiting and mackerel. The capelin is whole frozen or processed into roe. Mackerel is either whole frozen or beheaded and gutted. The herring is either whole frozen or processed into butterflies or fillets. A fishmeal factory is operated in Vopnafjörður. The factory mainly processes rejected capelin, herring waste and mackerel cuttings from Brim’s freezing plant in Vopnafjörður, as well as blue whiting.

 

Brim,
Reykjavik - H476

Brim’s groundfish processing plant at Norðurgarður in Reykjavik focuses on the production of fillets and fillet pieces of cod, perch and saithe. The fish is categorised by size, decapitated, filleted, skinned and trimmed before being cut into pieces according to the buyer’s wishes. The products are both sold fresh and frozen all year round. Fresh products are shipped the same day by air or in refrigerated containers to foreign markets, and frozen products are exported in freezer containers or shipped on pallets.

Akranes - H475

Brim operates a processing plant in Akranes where capelin roe is processed during the capelin season. The company also operates a fishmeal factory in Akranes for the processing of capelin and groundfish waste.

Isfelag,
Siglufjordur – A573

In the harbor area of Siglufjörður, there is a recently operated shrimp processing plant that produces cooked and peeled cold-water shrimp. Part of its raw material consists of fresh shrimp landed in Siglufjörður, while another part is purchased frozen from Norwegian and Canadian vessels. The plant places great emphasis on product quality and cleanliness, meeting the quality standards of many major retail chains in the UK and holding BRC approval.
